Idaho Prevailing Wage Information
Idaho does not currently have any state statutes that establish specific prevailing wage requirements. However, any jurisdiction within the State that receives federal funding for construction projects is required to ensure those projects are managed to the requirements outlined in the federal prevailing wage laws. (Davis-Bacon)
Davis Bacon is triggered by $2,000 of federal funding.
Public Agencies are to update wage rates 10 days prior the bid date. Wage rates are locked in based on the actual bid date so long as the project is awarded within 90 days. If the project is awarded beyond 90 days, new wage rates must be used. If the project extends beyond 3 years, updated wages may be required.
Overtime is required after 40 hours worked in a week.
Holiday, vacation and zone pay, if applicable, can be found in the wage determination itself.
If the contract is between a federal agency and the contractor, then federal PTO applies.

- Confirm contractor's eligibility to work (debarment)
- Check overtime calculations
- Verify proper use of apprentices
- Confirm proper apprenticeship ratios and supervision
- Conduct onsite interviews (as requested)
- Investigation and Reports relating to noncompliance by contractors
- Verification of Restitution to workers and proper corrected paperwork submittal
